Questions to ask a company providing disinfectant cleaning services

When you talk with a restoration company about a disinfectant solution for your business, make sure they are a reputable restoration company with a history of working with viral cleaning issues. Here are some questions you should ask
What is your disinfectant cleaning processes for businesses?
What disinfectant cleaning products do you use?
Are the disinfectant cleaning products registered with the EPA for use against Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
What are the differences in your approach to preventative disinfectant cleaning as opposed to suspected or confirmed COVID-19 exposure?
What long term cleaning solutions do you offer?
Do you offer any guarantees? (This may be a trick question, see below)
What do I need to do to prepare the area to be treated ahead of time?
How much do you charge per square foot for preventative disinfectant cleanings and suspected/confirmed COVID-19 exposures?
Will they provide you with a certification that the premises has been professionally cleaned?
Are your disinfectant cleaning services in line with CDC guidelines?
Beware of Misleading Long Term Protection Claims!

For example, there are some restoration companies who promote a disinfectant cleaning program  that provides a long term protection barrier against “a broad range of odor and stain-causing microbes (bacteria, mold, mildew and algae) -- with efficacy that remains effective for up to 90 days.” Some of them use a product called Bioprotect RTU for those claims. While the product is generally a really good solution for general long term protection against bacteria, mold, mildew, and algae, the EPA has not recognized it to kill or provide long-lasting protection from the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV02) more commonly referred to as COVID-19. viruses or disease causing bacteria. These types of dishonest marketing tactics should send up huge red flags.
